Having a workshop on video editing was very helpful. I could definitely see how it would be useful to be able to compile and edit your own videos to create engaging content for a class. I think hitting the balance between challenging myself enough but not using too advanced software is where I will find the sweet spot. A few months ago, I decided I wanted to do ASMR and I downloaded Premiere Pro. It was beyond the scope of my abilities and I ended up quitting the project and feeling discouraged about it. This workshop was handy because the video editing program was less confusing, and the detailed directions made it approachable and was very informative. I have realized I don’t need to be a tech whiz in order to master some basic skills so that I can create interesting videos as a teacher.
