During the last class, it was interesting to look to both the future and the past. We went over what we learned during the course, while realizing that technology is an everchanging field and that much of what we studied now will shift over the next years. We also speculated on what the future of education will look in 2040. It was interesting hearing the different visions of my classmates, and the clashing of optimism and pessimism in their predictions, cynicism and hope. We do not know exactly what the future will look like, but we as educators will have a large role to play in shaping it. The most important thing for teachers in this generation, it seems to me, it to remain flexible and openminded, so that they can most fulsomely help their students adjust to this brave new world.
