I had not realized that PowerPoint could be used for image editing, and it was fun learning about all the different features and to experiment with them. It’s good to know that you don’t need to be a Photoshop whiz in order to produce some interesting images.

I really like the background removal editing feature. I used to have fun when I was younger making my own edits by adding text, filters, or colour to images, but I could never figure out how to layer them and this feature is perfect for that.

I had fun making the image below, but the removal feature is a little finnicky. It works well for images with very distinct outlines (like the sun) but it was harder to get a clear separation when the image was more delicate (you can see I had trouble removing the dog’s legs properly from the background). This is quite rudimentary, but it was still fun to learn and I’m sure if I work at it I can improve my image editing skills.
